EMS Safety’s BLS for Healthcare Providers program has been approved by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, EMS section. This curriculum approval allows EMS Safety BLS Instructors to certify Emergency Medical Personnel in Michigan.

This approval is contingent on an addendum which is attached to this email. Instructors must maintain an Instructor to Student ratio of no more than 1:6. It is important that you follow this directive. If a BLS course is taught out of ratio, the course will be considered invalid for licensing purposes.

Instructors are required to keep course records for a minimum of three (3) years as outlined on page 11 Admin of your Instructor Manual and may be requested by the state or EMS Safety at any time.
