National EMS Week is May 15-21, giving us the opportunity to come together to celebrate EMS professionals across the country.
Here are some ways to say thank you to the EMS professionals in your community:
- A simple thank you. A sincere thank you can go a long way in feeling seen and supported.
- Deliver food or other treats. Contact your local EMS agency to see what items would be most appreciated and ask about a convenient drop-off time.
- Participate in community EMS Week events. Your local EMS agency might have set up a blood drive, a memorial service for fallen EMS or a fun event for the whole family to enjoy.
Check out the HSI Emergency Care blog for more information about National EMS Week and ways to show your appreciation.
