As part of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight and honor the heroic actions of the following individuals:
- Mason Van Houweling
- Frank Medina
- Alexis Brennan
- Kevin Janson
- Nicholas Romano
- Ronnie Escalante
- Dominic Dorn
On September 23, 2020, each of these trained bystanders were called upon to respond after a man collapsed while standing in line at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas.
Each person played a vital role in the Chain of Survival. And their efforts allowed the man to return home to his family after two weeks of recovering from open heart surgery.
Check out the HSI Emergency Care blog to read about the lifesaving actions of these Good Samaritans.
