This week (August 10-16) is Safe + Sound Week. This OSHA-led initiative encourages organizations to recognize their commitment to safety and focus on improving their safety and health programs.
According to OSHA, more than 5,000 workers are killed on the job each year. And more than 3.6 million workers suffer a serious job-related injury or illness.
Proactive safety and health programs can help prevent many of these workplace injuries and illnesses, while enhancing overall business operations.
Thousands of businesses across the country participated in last year’s Safe + Sound Week. And we encourage everyone to participate this year – whether it’s a large event or a small activity – to help make their communities and workplaces safer.
