EMS Safety has been approved to issue Continuing Education Units (CEU) from the following organizations:

About CECBEMS:
The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers program has been approved by the Continuing Education Certification Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS). CECBEMS is the national accrediting body for EMS continuing education and course providers. CECBEMS was chartered in 1992 and includes the follow sponsor organizations:
- American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)
- National Registry of EMTs (NREMT)
- National Association of Emergency Medical Services Physicians (NAEMSP)
- National Association of State EMS Directors (NASEMS)
- National Council of State Emergency Medical Service Training Coordinators (NCSEMSTC)
- National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE)
- American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP)
CEU for EMS providers from CECBEMS is accepted in most states and counties. Visit http://www.cecbems.org for a list of states that accept CEU from CECBEMS or contact your state EMS agency. Visit http://www.cecbems.org/emsStateContacts.aspx for links to each state EMS Agency.
Issuing CEU from CECBEMS though EMS Safety:
Only Instructors who are certified by EMS Safety to teach our CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers may issue CEU. Visit our secure Instructor Corner to download the CECBEMS Instructor Packet which is complete with instructions and the required forms.
Steps to Issue CECBEMS CEU:
- Download the CECBEMS Instructor Packet
- Teach the full CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course; use the CEU provider exam in place of the standard written exam.
- Email or send to EMS Safety the following items:
- Completed CEU Roster
- Course evaluation for each participant who needs CEU
- Answer Key to Student Exam for each participant who needs CEU
- EMS Safety will review the paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
- CEU Certificates will be sent to you for each participant on the roster.
- EMS Safety will upload course records to CECBEMS.
- Instructor can distribute CEU certificates to each course participant.

Cost for each CEU certificate: $3.00
California Dental Board (Pending)
At this time we can no longer issue CEU for the CA Dental Board. We expect to be re-instated as a CEU Provider per the new regulatory language. Contact Christina Smith at ext. 101 or email info@emssafety.com.
